About Miami Zip Codes
What this site is
Miami Zip Codes is a free reference for 30 ZIP codes in the City of Miami and Miami Beach, from 33101 downtown to 33157 in Cutler Bay, all in Miami-Dade County. Each ZIP code page brings together the figures people most often need in one place: population and density, median household income, median home value and rent, owner-occupancy, poverty rate, educational attainment and unemployment, all from the U.S. Census Bureau, plus ZIP type, coordinates and the nearby ZIPs. The Miami, Miami Beach and Miami-Dade pages roll those figures up for their ZIPs, and our metro report analyzes them across the whole dataset. The site deliberately covers the urban core rather than every ZIP in the county; the methodology page explains the scope.

People moving to Miami who need to compare neighborhoods before a housing search; residents weighing Brickell against Coconut Grove or South Beach against North Beach; real estate, lending and insurance professionals who need a quick, sourced figure; journalists and students researching how the city's neighborhoods differ. Every number is meant to be readable on a phone and citable in a report.
Who writes it
The site is compiled and maintained by the Miami Zip Codes Data Team, a small group of data analysts and local-market researchers who turn federal datasets into ZIP-level profiles. The Census figures are pulled directly from published American Community Survey tables; the descriptions, FAQs, affordability profiles and reports are generated by the team from those figures and reviewed before publication. We do not accept sponsored rankings, paid placements or real-estate referral fees, and no advertiser has any say in what a page says. When we describe a ZIP as affordable, dense or high-poverty, the numbers behind that description are on the same page.
Where the data comes from
- U.S. Census Bureau — American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year Estimates at the ZIP Code Tabulation Area level: population, age, income, home value, rent, tenure, poverty, education, unemployment, land and water area.
- United States Postal Service — ZIP code definitions, USPS city names and ZIP type (standard delivery, PO Box).
- Public geographic data — coordinates and county assignment.
29 of the 30 ZIPs have published Census population, income and housing figures; 33101 is a downtown PO Box ZIP with none, and its page says so instead of showing zeros. The full account of sources, formulas, known limitations and update schedule is on the methodology page.
Original research
Beyond the per-ZIP profiles, the team publishes metro analysis built from the same dataset. The current report is the Miami ZIP Code Affordability Report 2026, which ranks every ZIP with housing data on price-to-income and rent-to-income, compares Miami with Miami Beach, explains the Census $2 million home-value and $250,000 income caps that Fisher Island hits, and screens for the ZIPs where a median income still buys the median home.
How the site stays free
There is no paywall, signup wall or email gate. The site is supported by lightweight display advertising, which never influences content. See the privacy policy for how advertising cookies are used.
Corrections
If a figure does not match its Census source, or a city assignment, ZIP type or nearby-ZIP list is wrong, we want to know. The methodology page explains how each figure was derived so you can check our work; substantive corrections are noted on the affected page when they are made. Most recent correction: September 2026, links to five cities and three counties with no ZIP data on this site (Coral Gables, Hialeah, Doral, Homestead, Miami Gardens; Broward, Palm Beach, Monroe) were removed because they led to empty pages.
